The Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum is hosting the Next Steps for Biodiversity and Wildlife Protection in England conference online on Wednesday 15 June. The conference will focus on the next steps for biodiversity, wildlife protection and ecological restoration, and the practicalities of meeting Government targets for the restoration of wildlife habitat and halting species decline.
A number of keynote speakers, both Government officials and industry professionals, will be hosting sessions on a variety of topics: biodiversity and wildlife protection, environmental land management, biodiversity and species protection targets and local initiatives. A few notable names will be speaking at the conference, including Chair of Natural England, Tony Juniper, Sally Hayns, CEO at CIEEM, and Edward Barker, Director of Natural Environment, Trees and Landscapes and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
The conference will also provide the opportunity to discuss these topics against the multitude of policies that have recently been developed, such as the Nature Recovery Green Paper, the Environment Act, the Agriculture Act, Biodiversity Net Gain, the Landscapes Review and Local Nature Recovery Strategies.
