Jeremy has over 20 years’ experience in ecology consultancy delivering successful projects for sustainable development and nature conservation. He specialises in project management and the coordination of Ecological Impact Assessments, technical reports and mitigation strategies across a range of sectors. This is backed by experience from working on projects such as national infrastructure projects, permitted developments, large residential and commercial schemes, including within the road, rail and power sectors.
He has held a bat survey licence for over 20 years and devised bespoke mitigation and habitat management for all types of schemes. This includes use of both a low-impact class licence approach, and an organisational licence-approach. His expertise in protected species includes surveys, monitoring and reporting to deliver planning applications, implementing mitigation schemes and liaising with statutory bodies to obtain complex development licences.
Kelly Clark, Associate Director at Baker Consultants said “Jeremy will bring a level of additional expertise to the team that will help our junior staff to grow in their roles, gain confidence and progress their careers. We already have projects in the pipeline which will be able to make use of his skills in large-infrastructure developments and advanced bat survey & licencing techniques.”
Jeremy is looking forward to working with the team at Baker Consultants, working from our local office in Derbyshire and getting stuck into the wide range of projects and sites that we are already supporting in 2026 and beyond.
