James Longley Promoted to the Role of Principal Ecologist

We are really proud to announce that James Longley MCIEEM has been promoted to the position of Principal Ecologist at Baker Consultants.

Jim joined Baker Consultants in early 2017 as a seasonal surveyor having worked for the previous 12 years in the conservation sector for both the North York Moors National Park Authority and Derbyshire County Council. Although James had no previous consultancy experience, he rapidly demonstrated that he had the solid technical skills to deliver sound pragmatic advice to our clients. He has proved to be a safe pair of hands, taking on highly complex projects and earning the respect of all members of the team and his clients.

Jim’s rapid rise from Assistant Ecologist to Ecologist, Senior Ecologist and now the role of Principal Ecologist reflects his technical expertise and hard work. In response to his promotion, Jim said, “I have really enjoyed my time at Baker Consultants, I couldn’t have asked to work with a better team of people. I am looking forward to playing a leading role within the team and the development of the business.”
