Carlos Abrahams Will Be Hosting Bioacoustics Session at UKAN+ Monitoring UK Biodiversity Symposium

Carlos Abrahams, Director of Bioacoustics at Baker Consultants, will be hosting a bioacoustics session at the UKAN+ Monitoring UK Biodiversity Symposium.

The UKAN+ Monitoring UK Biodiversity Symposium will be hosted both online and at Manchester Metropolitan University on 15-16 June, and Baker Consultants’ Carlos Abrahams will be hosting a session on day two, which will focus on the standards for acoustics in UK long-term biodiversity monitoring.

The event is being held by UKAN+ in light of recent developments in environmental guidelines and protocols regarding biodiversity monitoring, such as Biodiversity Net Gain. The event will bring together academics, industry experts, government and non-governmental organisations to establish best practice and guidelines on acoustic methods for long-term biodiversity monitoring in the UK.

There will be a number of keynote speakers, workshops and panels at the event. If you’re interested in attending, you can register here.
