The CIEEM workshop, Bird Identification Through Sonograms, the Basic Principles, will be hosted online via Zoom on 17 May from 12pm-1:30pm. The workshop will focus on a bird identification key that was developed by Director of Bioacoustics, Carlos Abrahams, and Paul Howden-Leach, an expert ecologist who specialises in bat and bird bioacoustics and has over 22 years’ experience in the field. The key’s primary aim of identification will be through the analysis of sonograms, focusing on the principles of identification through specific parameters which are applicable in bird call identification.
