Baker Consultants

Baker Consultants’ sponsor NTU Clifton’s highest achieving student prize

Baker Consultants has a long-held relationship with Nottingham Trent University where Technical Director Carlos Abrahams, and Principal Ecologist Mark Woods, are lecturers for NTU.

So we are delighted to announce the sponsorship of the Baker Consultant’s prize for an academic excellence student prize, helping nurture the CIEEM stars of tomorrow.

The prize for the Highest Achieving Student will be awarded to the final year student who demonstrates excellent academic ability across a diverse range of tasks including written reports, oral presentations and formal examinations, along with any softer skills that have contributed to excellence in performance on the BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences (Environmental Biology) course. The prize will be awarded each summer to final year students and we are delighted to offer this support that we hope will stand students in good stead as they embark on their post-graduate careers.

Andrew Baker commented, “Baker Consultants is well-known for pushing the boundaries of innovation in ecology, and we are always keen to challenge accepted norms within our industry to help deliver better outcomes for wildlife and people.

With a long and established relationship with NTU, not least of all due to two staff members holding lecturing positions at the University, we are always keen to pass on our experience to the next generation who need industry experience, as well as received learning as part of their coursework. Sponsoring this prize in recognition of excellence in students of NTU is something we feel strongly about supporting to help encourage the next generation of innovators to enter the world of ecology.”
