It was a great privilege to be invited to Mr. Fothergill’s annual Press Day, and it was even more of a privilege to have the opportunity to talk to the gardening media about our DEFRA-funded bioacoustics research with scientists from the University of Warwick. Our Director of Bioacoustics, Carlos Abrahams, gave a short presentation on the developments we’ve been making in monitoring soil health, including our innovative soil acoustic monitoring device that will help farmers across the UK to save time, money and effort.
After showcasing our soil listening station at RHS Chelsea this spring as part of the RES show garden designed by Tom Massey, and appearing on BBC News Midlands Today, BBC Breakfast, BBC Farming Today, The Times and The Sunday Telegraph, it’s safe to say we’re slowly but surely getting word out about our research and how it will be a game-changer for the future of food and farming.
